Founded in 1926, Wellness has a greater and better experience with pet foods compared to Blue Buffalo. They started making kibble in 1997 and the company became prominent after being purchased by Jim Scott, an animal nutritionist, in 1961. The brand was making dog biscuits until Jim changed it to make holistic, natural kibble for dogs of all life stages. It is headquartered in Tewksbury, Massachusetts.
